Aggressive Armadillo

Aggressive Armadillo

Who knew he had it in him. These are one of the most docile animals out there.

Like all Armadillos he really can’t see and prefers to hide. So he ran over to a fallen log and stuck his head under it, just his head.

When that didn’t work the little bugger actually started to chase me away. I obviously let him and left. It’s not right to get close.

I did get some shots before his tantrum.

It was an Armadillo day and we found others later on.

  1. In all my years of working for animal control, one call I was most shocked by was for an armadillo reportedly chasing people in a neighborhood culdesac. I didn’t believe it, but when I arrived, as you said, “the little bugger chased me!” Totally uncharacteristic of an armadillo. But now I’m thinking maybe at times they do get more bold than just to jump up then run and hide!
