This was shot in a tidal pool that had attracted several different types of locals. Because the light seemed right for dark colors I paid attention to the Glossy Ibis. Most of the time the photograph as almost black birds, which they are not.

In a spot like this they become iridescent.

Like White Ibis they charge around digging in the mud.
