On a marsh trail we had walked out into a wide open area, a view of the entire marsh. A large number of Ibis and Egrets were near and this one flew up towards us.
Being really fast in flight I expect to grab a single shot or two. However this time I panned with the Ibis as he passed in front.
Later on I found most of shots were in focus, in the center view finder.
How often does that happen?

Thanks. Trying to repeat the scene right now with Pelicans. Chilly on the ocean, and a grand total of two Pelicans so far (7am). Win some, lose some. 😂😂😂
