The Red-wing’s are most always darting around in the marsh grass. However, the trick is getting an open and clear shot. Given an opportunity I try but not really expecting anything. Almost always a stray blade of grass interferes.


These are the exception. I think this spring I also caught a few. That probably means I’ve used up next years allowance too.

One of our Canadian prairies favourite springtime and summer song birds — they hang out in our marsh areas and roadway ditches.
