Black-bellied Whistling Ducks are here, breeding, and they just might stay year round. We started seeing them about 5 years ago and every year we see more, in new places.

It’s even better to capture them on this old ramp. This ramp has been ‘buried’ in cattails, reeds, and thick brush for years. The beginning of spring this swamp was cleared and dredged where needed. Now the birds have come back, and alligators of course.
I’d love to see and hear one. Nice shots, Ted!
They are still a novelty to us 😁😁.
