The trail curved here so I was able to get a few different angles, even a bit closer in spite of the swamp water.
While I was moving around taking photos he peeked out of a half open eye. He wasn’t impressed.

wow, swamp life…I imagine that finding a log of one’s own to hang out on is kinda a big deal. 😝

I feel sorry for the person without much knowledge of gators who stands there waiting for it to “do something”. It probably stayed in that same spot well into the night!!
