She is early, and without a mate. However it doesn’t hurt to see what might be available for housing. I have wondered if Anhinga will go to the open swamp across the trail. The reeds and cattails were cleared last spring so it’s an entire new neighborhood for them.
The silver color on this bird is usually not this clear. The light was perfect for the location. Other parts of the swamp were all glare, but she was good.
