They can be heard before you even get within sight of this rookery.
Now you can start to see them too. Several nests have young that can stand on their own. They have already started fighting among themselves. It’s common, and can be brutal.

I tend to call them monsters. Some people think they’re cute anyway. Usually they’ve never seen them half grown doing ‘monster’ things. Even the adults don’t want anything to do with them at that point!
The Great Blues seem to do that. Since the nests are nearby we watch ‘from start to finish’ LOL After a while the adults almost drop food on the fly to avoid the dangerous beaks of the young. Finally they don’t come back. 🤣🤣
