The other morning I was wandering around Magnolia Plantation when I noticed a family of four standing along a trail quietly staring at the ground in front of them. This is how some adventuresome people get a great story to take home.

And yes, an Alligator was lying on the edge of the trail. Staring back at the people staring at him.

I walked over and had a brief conversation, stood a bit between them and junior and told them to just walk by one at a time. This is what I typically do. We all have a laugh, and they have a story.

While talking the youngster stood up, gave a stretch and just slipped down into the water. Not many people find these trails, and are so curious and cautious that they get to see this. I’m sure they have a new appreciation for the wildlife and gators here now.
