More of the ‘big guy’s’ are moving on to the rookery trees. The territorial disagreements are starting, even sticks being gathered in hopes of a lady friend showing up.
So far there is still a lot of waiting, and calling. That’s about it though.

I wondered if the females arrive a bit later to choose the mate with the best nest building skills. Wait until one of those males figure out what they can do with a hammer and nails!
The females do wait and pick the male with the best site. However, males don’t build, the females do. Neither are very good and it’s a wonder the gators below the trees don’t get more chicks than they do.
