The light was a little dull when I shot this. I have had it uploaded for a while, just not published. The color of the Pluff mud had this ‘blueish’ tint. Soft light brings out colors and I did nothing but lighten the shadows. Pluff is strange.
Recently in an Alligator shot I mentioned the marsh Pluff Mud. The smell, depth, and incredible ‘stickiness’.
Right after that post I read in the Charleston newspaper of a man out with his Kayak in the marshes. Well, he paddled into a patch of Pluff. There he sat, overnight, until he was found and pulled free.
You don’t trifle with Pluff.
Gators, snakes now sticky mud…..you love in a very dangerous place my friend. But judging by your superb wildlife photos I can see the attraction. I guess you have to be careful there…
😂😂. Looking forward to your thoughts on some up coming photographs. We spent some time at a ‘convention’ of sorts, piles of Alligators, all around 🤣🤣.
Pluff is tough stuff 😏. I hope the birds avoid it.
They walk right on the top, well White Pelicans sink in since they can be heavy. If you dig through some long enough you can have a good selection of shoes/boots. Size and matching not included.
