They are incredibly fast, very agile, and dive from high to catch fish.
In general a tough bird to photograph. I did catch a number of them in flight and diving. Not very good focus since it was a dull day, but I did catch these.
This is great fun if you don’t mind shooting tons of missed shots to get that one good one. They keep photographers humble.
I don’t see any “jet trails”, unless of course you catch them discharging the “waste” department as they pass overhead.
Out state legislators has just made it illegal to release any type of contrails in the air above South Carolina. Might be doing ‘strange’ things here…so no you don’t see any. (This is in the true category of you can’t make this stuff up)
