White Ibis love a good swamp. Give them a few inches of water, green weeds, and lots of mud.
Their long curved beak is a perfect tool for probing and finding prey. Swamp mud is filled with all kinds of thingies they like to eat.

I captured this the other day in a local swamp. Sticks everywhere and 99% of all my shots had something blocking a clean image. The photo above had a twig removed, Lightroom does an incredible job for things like this. Usually I don’t bother because I always have another shot that’s clean. Not this time.
What extraordinary birds 😊. Very nice!
Entertaining too.
Can you imagine if the Pinocchio story was told with them as the subject?
😆😆
Love the shadow leaf pattern on the fluffed white feathers – great shot!
He looked so darn white in this shot 😳
