Two shots of a Great Blue Heron on a ‘stick’ mission. This type of interaction happens multiple times each spring.
The Great Blues leave the big cypress trees and head for the same spots, over and over. There’s always old branches and sticks along the edge of the smaller swamps just outside the big pond.
If a photographer happens to be there watching, just stay where you are, take your photographs, and don’t get in his way. There are great photos, and good sticks to be had.
