Yellow-crowned Night Heron's Nest Building

Yellow-crowned Night Heron’s Nest Building

More like one building, the other supervising.

One of the few open and clear shots of that day. This was taken a week ago. Chances are the view now is behind a wall of green leaves. They don’t like anything this open.

    1. The rookery in Port Royal has become the most diverse in South Carolina. One of only 6 where Storks nest. The last few years there have been thousands of birds. Eventually it will scale back though. Few places can sustain this, and here the space is constricted. The wetlands is dead center in town. Nobody expected this 😆.
