It blocks everything 😳. Some swamps have thick Duck Weed and Mosquito Fern, another floating plant. They can cover the surface so completely sun never reaches under the water. Essentially killing off everything. A few years go it started in this swamp. The owners leaned it out and saved the day.

We have it too on some lakes during the warmer months but never that thick.
Every time someone posts an alligator video, I immediately start wondering… how often do people actually get bitten by alligators? 😅
Good question. I think it’s one a year, most always because they have walked a dog by water.
