Dragonfly

I’m not a macro photographer but when an opportunity comes along I’ll give it a try. For me the trick is getting as much of the subject on focus as possible. Shooting OM Systems helps they have greater depth of field than most.

I need practice. I did get interesting shadows and colors.

  1. Yes, that extra background blur on the OM System is a nice bonus, and it can be useful for birds as well. This one is really beautiful, and for me the entire body doesn’t have to be 100% tack sharp either. I photograph them much the same way you did here. Top shot!

    1. Thanks 😊. I may need to ‘liberate’ Ellen’s 90mm macro lens when she’s not looking. I had thought this week would be good, she’s out of town. However the temperature is consistently near 100 f degrees. Not a time to wander around.
