This Tricolored Heron jumped from the brush, I was ‘almost’ ready.
The images below are cropped oddly because in my scramble to get this series the bird was in the upper right of the image. I followed the action but I was on the verge of losing her the whole time.
On my long lens the minimum focus is at 200mm. A great starting point for a wildlife kit. But I do miss that Sigma 150-600 on a Canon at times. Of course both my long lens on OM are half the weight of that beast.

The Intrigued staff are well versed in our motto of story over image. Just keeping these long winged creatures in the frame is often under appreciated!

Cropping, Smopping. Ted, you were able to photograph the bird in a nice series. The cropping should accentuate the subject, and not the other way around.
