Taken along the back swamp trail at the Magnolia Plantation. The light was odd and gave a yellow cast on everything shot that day.

The White Ibis walked ahead on the same trail. When the are on this trail many join in for a walk. They keep just far enough ahead to be comfortable.

They are so funny, walking along watching you over their shoulder. Do you have a “cloudy day / sunny day” color balance setting on your camera? I’m using the “cloudy” setting on mine, and have noticed it tends to add a warm tint, apparently trying to offset the natural blue tint of the light in the field.
I do but tend to deal with white balance if needed during post. I rarely remember to change it.
I set it when I bought the camera… and have forgotten it ever since 🙂 Nowadays, we probably don’t need it, post-processing can make any small adjustments needed.
I agree. I need to stop reading the photo magazines though. All of a sudden the new hot topic is White Balance LOL.
