It’s always in a dark swamp. Thinking about that I’m pretty sure the only Heron I see regularly in the Four Hole Swamp are the Yellow-crowned Night Herons. Four Hole is one of the oldest, and thickest, old forest swamp.

This was shot through holes in the foliage. That’s the way most of my photos here are taken. Very thick trees.
