Red-Shouldered Hawk

Red-Shouldered Hawk In A Big Oak

One of the most common hawks around here. This one was found above some of the old slave cabins that remain near the swamps in a local plantation. They live right here year round.

When I say he was found all I really did was listen to his constant calls. The only way you ever see one quiet is when they’re sleeping.

The background is beautiful. The bird was in a big Live Oak in the middle of Spanish Moss.
