As expected the marsh water was high, actually very high.

This is the time of year the Alligators are out in the open. The night is cooler and they need heat. So an open space in the sun is important.

Unfortunately high water means less dry places to sun themselves. The edge of the reeds is always the first choice.

They were piled up and plenty of them. We lost count there were so many. Other critters not so much, but you can count on the gators for decent photographs.
