Birds, Heron, Marsh, Swamp, Wildlife Black-crowned Night Heron May 20, 2018 Ted Jennings - TPJ Photography 4 Comments The Night Herons have been nesting on a secluded island in a swamp we visit. While there is no way to get very close to the island the birds will hunt all around the area. With luck some will stay around the trails and fish in the shallows. I love these herons, they always look a bit stealthy. Nice shots.
