Usually the Anhinga catch smaller fish. They are easy to flip in the air and swallow.  Sometimes they can’t resist the bigger ones.

Anhinga dive deep and dig around the bottom.

They use their sharp bill like a spear to jab bigger fish.

Like all birds they eat the fish head first. This avoids the sharp gills.
