When I walk the dikes one of the things I always photograph is the gators we see along the way. Just a few shots of each.


The other interesting part of this is the ones you don’t see. Reeds cover the edges and at times the sound of a big splash, right off to your side, gets your attention. I mean really, you know what it is when it happens.

Walking the dikes is always great fun, especially when you take someone for the first time. It’s the big splash of the one they don’t see that’s the best.
Note; it doesn’t take a big Alligator to make a large splash. Even the little ones do. But I don’t volunteer that info usually.
I think you can be a little naughty – but it’s fun. 🙂
