There are times the Egrets come to their nests in a slow and easy flight. Drawing near it’s almost like slow motion.

And now the unfortunate catch. We are photographers first, spectator second.

As we shoot this we miss some of beauty and wonder. Too busy reading our viewfinders and planning the image.

This is a subject of conversation within our small community.

The other day someone took a photo of me, near a tour group of photographers I bumped into.
I was the only one without a camera in their face.
I don’t want to miss everything. Like an Egret floating in the air.
