A bit of a different view of a Great Blue. In their world they are one of the top predators. We don’t usually see them that way.

Take a look at the Heron below. That is not the look of a harmless little  bird.

Great Blues can be dangerous to people too. Remember, they can almost look at you eye level. They are tall, fast, and have a deadly bill.

I have had young ones, just learning to fly, land next to me. One even looked right not the camera lens. Born in a local rookery he had seen us his whole young life, no fear. But if he wanted to poke at me …
