It’s always a good omen to come up to some of these little guys fishing. They may have long legs, but they are not the tallest wading birds around here.

If the Avocet can fish in the marsh so can just about every other bird around. Usually that includes Black Skimmers and Stilts.

This group is usually the hardest to photograph and water depth means everything.
