This bird has the green lore (green along the front of the eye) showing it’s of breeding age.

To attract a mate Egrets stand tall and bow displaying their long feathers. Other times they spread the tail into a fan.

Those long lacy feathers are awesome!
This is ‘dance’ time. Egrets showing off for a mate. Those feathers are why they were almost extinct too. Late 1800s they were hunted for them, used in ladies hats.
The green coloring around the eyes really pops! I can’t believe how white the feathers are.
