This series is the wings, all about the wings.

Like the Great Blue Heron the Great Egret has many layers of wing feathers.

Most images don’t capture the full wing span or their ‘cape’ feathers.

This is one of the only birds you would photograph from behind  (unless do some research project of course), well I will but most people don’t.
