Checking Us Out, Alligator

Checking Us Out, Alligator

I’m convinced that Alligators can get bored. This was typical gator behavior.

I was standing up the bank of a large marsh watching a flock of Egrets too far to photograph. And of course the critter above slowly comes up and glides over.

Their ‘face’ doesn’t give off much of an expression, something to do with all those scales and teeth.

When they slip over all they want to do is watch. Now I’m obviously  not going to pat this giant on the head, but I find the whole interaction fascinating. Just remember ‘social distancing’.

    1. 😀, Me too. However, it is amazing how you become aware of the animals behavior over time. Just two days ago I shared a swamp trail with a mid sized gator. We basically looked at each other from a few feet and that was it. How that became a common thing with me is baffling.
