So…. I waited around for his return trip, out of the thicker swamp.

The wild squawks, and big splashing, told the story.

This guy came out of the thick palmettos fast and loud.

I didn’t see the action since it was behind the wall of palms. The Heron was moving out fast though.

Alligators are not very interested in food this time of year. I can only imagine the bird stepped on him, even poked him, to start any type of argument.

View the above large and you will see one wide eyed Great Blue Heron.

That encounter certainly got his attention!
