First year Little Blue Heron. At first glance you can think it’s an Egret.

Hard to believe it’s the same animal.
It is definitely an amazing transformation. I have seen a few immature Little Blue Herons here in Virginia, but never an adult one.
It takes about 18 months for the full change of color to complete. Hard to believe it’s the same species.
Amazing indeed.
