I knew getting both birds close together would not happen. I decided to concentrate on the Glossy Ibis. It’s much harder to capture than the Greater Yellowlegs behind him.

I must admit at the time I didn’t know it was the Greater Yellowlegs, I don’t see many of them either. If I had there’s a chance the shots would not have happened at all by the time I figured which I wanted to pay more attention to.


Glossy are very dark and it’s easy to miss getting any kind of detail. I speak from experience.
