On this morning last week Tricolors were one of the stars of the day. Fishing, for the most part, was good right off the slope of a dike.
However, the small minnows were able to see him coming because of the sunlight. I stayed on this dike a while and was half blinded by the sun on my right. Some photos were shot there ‘a guess’ where my focal point was in the view finder. Thankful for digital.
On this try the fish won. They stayed just out of reach. The Heron ultimately turned and went the opposite direction. He was using the sun instead of fighting it.
