We were getting a little bit of that Florida tropical heat and glare here. Warmer than the Lowcountry has been lately.

I almost didn’t move closer to take these shots, thinking more about shade.

Color on the bird was good so worth the extra heat.
Each year I go through this, a few weeks to get readjusted. I can’t imagine living in the cold again. LOL, getting old.
The tall grass still looks touched by winter. Your comment about the cold made me smile 😊.
The Lowcountry down through northern Florida have just about 2 months of winter. In Charleston we may have had 5-7 nights of frost or a freeze this year. Some days are chilly, but none of that counts if you are from the north 😂🤣😂. Still we quickly flip into hot days. Semi tropical hot days and it takes a bit to adjust.
Of course a few weeks after the flip it gets southern swampy hot, walk around dripping and smelling like a Warthog 🤣🤣🤣
