(Almost) Shore Birds

(Almost) Shore Birds

Three photographs here taken along the shore and salt marshes of birds I don’t usually associate with the ocean.

The first is a Snowy Egret marching along a beach.  The tide was down and small fish were in the shallows.

Second, almost right in the same spot as the initial Snowy, was an Osprey feeding on a fresh caught fish. The Osprey was still very wet.

Last, and again the same spot, a Great Blue. The Heron was belly deep in salt water in the marsh side of sandy area. The bird wasn’t even hunting, just standing in the cool salt water.

Photographs taken in the wildlife preservation along side the NASA launch platforms.
