These guys have been absent for a while. They love to nest and hunt in the marsh ponds around old Magnolia Cemetery. The ancient (really ancient) pipes keeping the tidal waters flowing broke months ago. These birds moved out for a while.

This has been a Night Heron spot almost forever. As soon as the water flowed between the marshes, they were back.
