When the water levels were low in the marshes a new group of locals came around. They were the pushy teenage thugs.

There is a clear set of rules for the locals. The big guys take the best spots, challenge at your own risk.

The larger Alligators moved just over the dike into the salt marsh with deeper tidal waters. This left the old rice fields open to smaller visitors. They were careful though. The big guys came back during the day to jump in and wash off the salt.

The youngsters growth spurt is over now it’s a slow go until they can get permanent residence here. Maybe 10 years.
