Many times when we are out something catches the attention of one of us, and demands immediate action. We use ‘freeze’, ‘coming in’, ‘on your left’, and now ‘Gator Crunching’ ๐๐.

The marshes have enormous Blue Crabs. It seems to be a favorite meal.


This local was not all that close, you can imagine the size of both the gator and crab.
Yesterday had been slow at Bear Island, but this helped keep us motivated.

๐, thanks. The crabs are biggest Iโve ever seen, and obviously tasty. This time I was not as close as I would have liked. Still itโs interesting and a great story to anyone who isnโt around alligators. I see gators getting crabs more often than fish.
