The Little Blue have a slow and methodical way of looking for prey. Some of the other Heron dance and run, most of the time the small Blue’s go slow and steady.
This bird worked the small swamp by drifting along on the edge. He caught a few small ‘thingies’ but nothing I could really see.

I’m intrigued by the way the black tip of the Little Blue’s bill appears to disappear into the shadows – very stealthy design, those fishy critters won’t see what’s coming till it’s too late!
Exactly ! The Reddish Egret also has this. Though Reddish are not seen very often unless in specific areas.
