This may be the first time I have been near the ‘Eagle Tree’ this year. Two photographers I knew were also nearby and told us we had just missed the other mate.

We call this the ‘Eagle Tree’ since most of the year Eagles perch here to look out over the large marsh and rice fields. A few years ago they would arrive at 11:00 AM daily. That’s great to get a shot, but kind of takes the fun out of it a little though.
