While standing on a trail that looked over a swamp I watched a decent size Alligator swim past a Cypress Tree covered in Spanish Moss. This was a shot that I had taken before yet I always think it will somehow be different.
This time it was but only because I watched the gator move towards the trail I was heading for. It was also the quickest trail to my car.

On the way out I bumped into my new friend. He was floating a few feet off the bank. My guess he wanted to warm up on the trail. They usually do.

I think he turned out to be bigger than I had thought.

Wonderfully atmospheric photos!
ππ. They are usually not this big in these swamps. The big boys are in the large marshes. I guess he was on the βgiantβ size scale. They do take good photos when under the tree shade. π
