Early shots taken last week, end of October. It was one of the last days the gates to Bear Island WMA were open. November 1 the marshes are closed until mid February. It’s a yearly occurrence that I’m sure the wildlife appreciates.

In a few weeks the Tundra Swans will be back in here, White Pelican too. This is the furthest south the arctic swans travel. They only number in the hundreds since most will winter further north.
