This is said to be the longest species in the Lowcountry, growing around 7 feet. That explains why I couldn’t get a good angle on him. He was big, thin but long.

Coloration varies on this snake. In our area they can be yellow or green.  Reflections in a swamp would likely make for changes too. The last shot here the snake appears to be much lighter.
