Charleston Harbor, Monochrome

A small series taken while out in the Charleston Harbor.

First, while passing a harbor buoy in the rain a few coastal Dolphins worked around us. Until recently they were always identified as Bottlenose Dolphin. However, after a detailed study it’s been determined the Dolphins in our inlets are a separate specifies.

One of the daily cargo ships passed us, and the local Pelicans. The Port Of Charleston is one of the busiest in the US and can support the largest container ships.

The South Carolina coast contains multiple barrier islands, sand bars, and some of the largest marshlands in the country. The area has an incredible amount of wildlife. It’s not surprising to find the harbor is a great place for photography.

    1. Thanks 😀😀😀. All done with DxO NIK Silver Efex. All the usual burn, dodge, etc. it’s probably the one post process software that all the ‘fine art’ gallery photogs agree on 😀😂.
