These were taken not far from where we live, in a thick wetlands.

When the sun is bright it can make any scene hard to capture. The backgrounds are harsh and the subjects dark, and hidden.

That said it’s also a good place to wait for the a decent option. The trail is in shade from large Cypress trees.

When it’s hot you can lean on a tree and wait out the birds. Or at least keep a little cooler.
