Here is a stark contrast in colors. I even considered toning it down, but this is what it looks like.

The bright white Little Blue Heron was hunting along the edge of the rust colored Mosquito Fern. The fern is so thick I doubt any light or oxygen is getting through to the swamp waters. It’s natural, but probably not a good thing long term. Winter should cause the plant to die back though.
