A Little Blue Heron here, one that practically lives full time on the old ramps.
I was walking past him not taking any photos of him this time. Most times he ignores us. However he decided to leave and went down to the far edge of this swamp. It’s an especially dark spot on a wet day.

The background is heavy and dense. Interesting looking with old wooden pilons and even a few sitting turtles. The swamp behind this has no dry access and runs a few miles until it reaches the old Drayton Hall plantation. Drayton is the earliest plantation along the river and the only one not burned by Federal troops during the US Civil War.
