There’s a back trail that runs behind a swamp we called the ‘little rookery’ a few years ago. The rookery is empty now, the small wading birds have moved up to the bigger swamp ponds.

Along this path you can find some birds feeding from the rookeries. It’s a little thick so open shots can be hard to get, however it’s worth the time since the background here is always interesting… and wild flowers grow almost all year long.

I found one of the Little Blues that have Been hanging around the last week or so. Not sure how many there are now.
